The RoleThis is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for carrying out efficient and safe tool changes across injection and blow moulding machinery, ensuring production runs smoothly and downtime is minimised.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out tool changes in line with setting sheets and target times
- Prepare and set up all required secondary equipment
- Accurately complete all tool change documentation
- Identify and report any faults with tools, dyes, or machinery
- Support basic maintenance activities when required
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
- Return tools and dyes to the toolroom after use
- FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with tool and dye changes on injection and/or blow moulding machines
- Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines
- Lifting and slinging experience
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Meeting or exceeding tool change target times without compromising safety
- Supporting reduced downtime and improved machine efficiency
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Building strong knowledge of machinery and processes
- Supporting engineering with basic maintenance tasks
- £35,000 – £37,000 per annum (depending on experience)
